There are many steps that a younger couple may take but in case of older couples, doctor may advise to skip some of the steps.  Though, it is worth knowing that even if you become pregnant, no treatment will be able to guarantee a healthy baby. Apart from this, scientists in the field have made many advances which have helped people millions of couples. Infertility treatment depends on the cause, age, age of the partner and many personal preferences.  There are various infertility causes that can’t be corrected. However, with modern advancements, a woman can still be able to get pregnant with assisted reproductive technology or to repair fertility.

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is one of the most common types of assisted reproductive technology. It is a special technique used to help a woman in becoming pregnant. Success rate of IVF is high and depends from clinic to clinic. IVF is mostly done for the woman who has blocked, damaged, or no fallopian tubes. It is also done to beat the infertility caused by endometriosis or a man having a low sperm count. When most couples fail at trying other infertility methods, they can try IVF and achieve great results.

To ensure a successful pregnancy, more than one embryo is implanted into the uterus. According to research, most women who undergo in vitro fertilization techniques have twins. Though, chances of success can’t be predicted as number of factors is involved. The success rate gets bigger if the woman is younger.
